Fall Lookbook (inspiration)

Living in the Midwest, you need a jacket for 8-9 months out of the year because it's so cold - After a while, you grow to prefer that type of weather. It's September now, and although it is hot as F this week (think humid, 90 degrees, hazy sun), it also means that crisper temps are on their way. I can't wait to get back into wearing denim, wool, suedes, and leather in layers. And get back into my power colors. I feel most confident and most like myself in blacks, greys, camel, white, and navy.

On a related note - this month, I've brought some black Nike Roshe Ones into my shoe wardrobe and they've become my favorite shoe to wear. I don't think I've ever been a sneaker person, but I think I'm starting to become one. They're by no means shoes that I would run in (lift, definitely), but they look quite cute on and are a dream to walk in.

I think I'm also going to try this 30 day writing challenge again this month!

  1. Jackets and dark colours are my favourite aesthetic (if you will), I'm disappointed that we're heading into warmer weather again down here!

    1. Ahh yes, your seasons are opposite. I don't know if this is true, but Australia's got pretty mild weather all year right? Somewhat warm?

    2. Pretty mild winter in comparison to a lot of places, my wool coat gets regular wear but there's definitely no need for technical gear haha.

  2. Love that middle one with the jean jacket especially. I can't wait for it to cool down enough to start layering again!

  3. I also cannot wait for cooler weather. Everywhere I've been for the last few weeks has been on the hot and humid side, and I get so bored with summer clothing.

I don't have too many ideas when it comes to fall inspiration: so far, I only plan on acquiring basic items like new jeans and a more classic breton striped shirt. I guess I'm feeling a bit of a creativity deficit, and the prospect of having to wear business casual five days a week makes it even harder to plan casual-wear purchases!

    1. Today we hit temps in the 90s and so so humid and punishing sun.

New jeans are also on my list, but they're about the only thing for now. I'm lucky to not have to wear business casual, so I can mix it up a bit. What do you usually wear to work in the fall/winter?
