Two Outfits
vest (eddie bauer) - jeans (eddie bauer) - shirt - shoes (dsw)
I was way under dressed for the temperature today. I thought I'd be warm enough with the vest, but actually, I was freezing! We've had a bit of a cold snap in Chicago. On the bright side, I didn't sweat that much during my move. I'm pretty much settled into the new place. I have a list of furniture that I want to buy in the coming months. A chest of drawers, a coffee table, an armchair are the main ones that I'd like, with the priority being the drawers.
The move itself was pretty stress free. I was shocked at how much household stuff I had. I guess the surprise came because in the past when I had moved, it was always between furnished apartment to furnished apartment in college. I only owned clothes and knick knacks. I also realized how many shoes I had... Half of them were for winter/fall, and the other half were flats and sandals that were more fall/summer. I contemplated trimming down, but decided against it, since I really do wear them when the season is right. I guess that's a con of living in a place with so many states of weather.
dress (old navy) - shoes (old navy) - blazer (aritizia)
Outfit #2 here. Wore this yesterday to work, when it was MUCH warmer - around 80 degrees. The blazer was a bit warm, but perfect for in the office. And here's a shot of what my backyard looks like. I LOVE having a deck, and I hate it because it's another door that I need to worry about being locked!
Good to hear your move went okay! Furniture shopping should be fun, I've never had to do it myself. Love the blazer with the dress too!
ReplyDeleteThanks! I love furniture shopping, but my BF absolutely hates it!
DeleteYay for moves that are stress free! Mine was also pretty smooth. (I was able to give away a lot of my things to people at school, which means I had to spend less time hauling things to the curb.) I've only ever lived in places with rather uniformly hot summer weather, though it gets cooler in the evenings in California. Just that small change is making it hard for me to plan out summer outfits while I'm here instead of in NYC.
ReplyDeleteYes, usually the weather is predictable in Chicago, but we're going through this weird in between Spring/Summer phase that is lasting way longer than normal. Climate change, I guess!
DeleteYou and Kristina are lucky you're in the West Coast!
That deck looks super cool. Looks like a good place to sit and read (assuming the sun doesn't shine directly into the patio?)
ReplyDeleteThanks lady! It's quite shady in the backyard since it's boxed in by the building, and the condos next door. It'll be great in the summer :)
